OUR NEXT
EVENT WILL BE SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11TH.
SEE DETAILS BELOW.
FROM
THE PRESIDENT:
Finally, I’ve found a few minutes (read hours) to
work on the newsletter. Things have been pretty slow with the
Pontiac Club the past few months but not so much with myself.
I’ve been working very hard at finishing up the body work on the
’73 Formula and of course this time of year gets quite busy for
me at work. Combine that with the fact I have one less employee
since the first of October and it leaves me just about no free
time for anything. Thus, why it’s been so long since I’ve been
able to get a newsletter out.
I also have received very little from any of the membership to
put into the newsletter so it’s a bit harder to put these together
when I have to come up with almost all of the content myself.
Remember, I’d love to receive some input for the newsletter. Surly
many of you are working on projects.
Over the past few months we have had a few spur of the moment
meetings, one of which brought a few of the members back out to
Tooele for breakfast in Stockton.
We also recently had our annual Christmas Dinner which turned
out well. We had a total of 15 people who attended. I’m sorry
if I didn’t get to speak to everyone at the dinner. The layout
of us at a long table never really works well for getting a chance
to talk with the people at the other end.
As for the club in the coming months, it seems our most pressing
issue is making sure we have the Annual Show location set up.
Wheeler Farm finally got back to us this past week and told us
they can’t allow our show there any longer as they are trying
to get the grass areas back in to better shape. They made a location
suggestion which we will look into but we could sure use some
suggestions or the show might not happen this year. I’ve set up
a meeting for Feb 14th to get together and discuss this (see below
or the upcoming meeting section on page 29 of the newsletter for
details).
As for other meetings, I’d love if some of the membership could
help out this year and set a few things up. Let me know what you’ve
set up (or would like to set up) and I’ll gladly put the information
out there for the club.
Till next time,
Kenny
Saturday - February 11th
Breakfast Meeting
9:00 am
Dee’s Restaurant
2085 South Redwood Road – Salt Lake City
This early in the
year there is not a whole lot going on. However, if we’re going
to have a Pontiac show this year, we really need to discuss our
options. If you did not catch it elsewhere in this newsletter,
we have lost our location at Wheeler Farm for our show due to
some changes they have made. We need to come up with a new location
right away or there won’t be a Pontiac Show this year. If possible,
please attend this meeting and try and bring some ideas on where
we might be able to hold our show.
Breakfast will be at 9:00 am. Please send me an email
or call me the morning of breakfast if you will be attending so
we can ask for a table large enough to accommodate everyone coming.
See you there!
